Hang In There!
Unfortunately my achilles is still not completely ready to get back into running. However, I think it is getting better. I have still been cross-training like crazy, but I have been able to do short, easy jogs the past few days. I am taking it very slowly. I want this thing to completely heal before I start really training again. I am pretty sure I will have to red shirt for this season of outdoor, but in the big scheme of things, it is probably best. It is just my freshman year, and I would rather compete when I am healthy and can give it all I've got. It has been a really hard thing to swallow because I love running and I want so badly to continue to improve. With all this cross-training, hopefully I won't lose too much fitness. It's really hard not to travel and train with my team, but they have not stoppped encouraging me and pushing me. I know God has a plan in all this, and I trust whatever it is. I also have faith that He will completely heal me. It is so good to know that I have many people in my home church praying for me as well. In the mean time, the road to recovery continues.

yes, hang in there!!!! we can support each other, and truly in the big scheme of things, a layoff can be just what is planned and we need to figure out what we can learn from it and create from it! thinking of you...good luck!
you're being so smart about this injury and your body will thank you in the long run. hang in there!
Don't we all know how frustrating injuries can be! Keep playing it smart, heal up, and you'll be ready for the what's next. Good luck!
(Jan and Damie pointed me to your blogs...I think I've commented before but I can't remember.)
