Christmas Recap

Christmas was quite different this year than past years. It was done at our house since my grandfather lives with us, but my cousins weren't here and neither were my brother and sister-in-law. It was actually quite nice to have a smaller Christmas, but I still missed the rest my family. We still had the traditional good food and stuffed ourselves on Christmas day (and I'm still stuffing myself with leftovers). Presents, which are usually opened on Christmas Eve, were opened Christmas morning. While I love everything that I got, I received more joy from watching others open the presents I got them than I did from opening my own presents. I do love my new blender/food processor and electric mixer! Cooking, here I come!

As for running, I've hit yet another obstacle. I won't go into detail since my blog is available to anyone on the internet, but I will say it isn't injury. I am still able to run, but I feel awful on every run, especially workouts. It is extremely frustrating because when I got home for the break, I really felt like I was getting in good shape, and then everything crashed. I'm still putting the work in, it just isn't good quality, and I know I can do so much better. I'm hoping that everything gets back to normal by the time I get back to school. I am very thankful that I am at least still able to run and not battling another injury.

I have one more full week at home! Hopefully I can get some good runs in and spend time with my family and friends!
Hope everyone had a great Christmas and is enjoying the holiday season!
