Wedding Weekend

I am exhausted from all that has gone on in the past few days, but I loved every minute of it! It still does not seem real that my best friend got married yesterday! The wedding could not have been any better. The fabulous weekend started Thursday night with the bachelorette party. We went to Macaroni Grill for dinner and then back to a girl's apartment for dessert and gifts.

Friday night was the rehearsal dinner at Bon Terre. After, I went back to Whitney's house to help with last minute details of the wedding. I gave her a gift that night that I have been working on this week. I asked all the bridesmaids and a few more of her close friends to write her a letter telling her what she means to them and encouraging her for her marriage. I compiled the letters along with some pictures in a book. She loved it!

And finally the day we have been planning for and anticipating arrived! All the bridesmaids got there at 10:15 to get ready together and take pictures before the wedding. The ceremony started at 2:00, and it could not have been more beautiful. I shed some tears seeing Whitney walk down the aisle with her dad. I had to work very hard at holding back the rest of my tears. I didn't want there to be a hysterical maid of honor in the wedding video :)
The reception was so much fun! The food and music were incredible! I think I got 2 workouts in yesterday: my long run in the morning and dancing at the reception.

The day did not end there. My brother had his high school graduation that morning (which I had to miss for the wedding), so we celebrated with dinner at a hibachi grill. I am so proud of him and cannot wait to be in college with him in the fall!

Congrats Whitney and Jason!
