I'm Still Here!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
So the blog has kind of been put on the backburner recently if you haven't noticed. It just hasn't been one of my priorities lately. I don't even know where to start with updates. School is still going ok: busy, but not too bad. I signed up for spring semester classes, and my schedule is going to be awful! Since I will be graduating next december, this is my last spring semester as an undergrad, which means this next semester is the only time I can take certain courses. I am signed up for 19 hours (1 class is not even really a class). With track practice and traveling and my class schedule, it's going to be pretty hectic. I'm hoping I can stay on top of things and not get too stressed. I also have to decide this month where I will be doing my field experience next summer. I really want to go back out to Colorado! There are just a lot of details that would have to be worked out, so I'm not sure if that will work out. Memphis would be a great place to get field experience, but I would love to be somewhere different.

Running is going great! We raced in North Carolina 2 weeks ago and placed 3rd overall, beating Kentucky! We are in South Carolina right now for the SEC meet, which is tomorrow. We have a chance of placing in the top half of the conference! I am feeling a lot more pressure than usual because this race will determine if I will race at Regionals in 2 weeks. I have been in the top 7 at every race except one this season, but I am competing against 3 other girls for the 6th and 7th spot, and they want it just as bad as I do. It is a good problem to have, but I am definitely a lot more nervous about this race than I usually am. I am trying not to focus on my place on the team and just run my race the best I can, giving everything I've got.

I'm still on the pumpkin kick and will be as long as this season lasts. I made pumpkin soup a few nights ago, and it actually turned out a lot better than I expected. I've also made pumpkin bread and pumpkin cream cheese dip. I plan on trying out a pumpkin pasta recipe and making some pumpkin butter this next week. Oh, how I love this season!

Kashi pumpkin bar is a great snack!
Such a wonderful way to start my morning!
I was forced against my will to buy this ice cream...but I won't complain
It may not look that appetizing, but adding pumpkin to oatmeal makes it so good!
