Pumpkin Update

Things have been busy as usual around here. School is going ok, but I am having such a hard time finding motivation to not only do my school work, but to do it well. I believe in doing everything to the best of my ability-- as if I am working for God, not man (Colossians 3:23). For some reason, it is really hard for me to do that with my school work this semester. My focus has just been on other things- all good things -but I need to make school more of a priority than I have been.

Running has been going really well! This past week we had 4 X mile with 3 minutes recovery then 1 X 800 and 4 X 400 all at vO2 max (fast). Saturday we did a 7 mile tempo at Noxubee Refuge, which I ran in 45:19. Both workouts, Anna and I ran together, and she helped me so much. It's so cool to see the benefits of team work. We really pushed each other the whole time. This week is a recovery week. We have 8X800 meters tomorrow morning and then a race on Friday afternoon at Appalachian State.

And now for an update on PUMPKINS!

pumpkin muffin (with Sarah about to grab it)

pumpkin body wash- this stuff is amazing! (thank you Renee!)

pumpkin pancakes- lots of them because we were experimenting to see which recipe was the best (the bisquick + milk + pumpkin + spices won)

pumpkin bagel with pumpkin cream cheese

pumpkin spice latte

And this is just the beginning of a wonderful season!
