I got my stitches out today!
I feel like I am now on the road to recovery because I can now start physical therapy. I met with my physical therapist, Joe, today and did some exercises to strengthen my quad and ankle. I also bent my knee 90 degrees! It took a while to get it that far, and Joe had to help, but it still bent! It actually felt good to bend my knee after having it straight for a week.
I have been able to walk around my apartment without crutches the past few days. I have a pretty bad limp, but it's better than walking with crutches. Joe wants me to stay on crutches a few more days. I cannot wait to be walking normally again! At least with crutches I am working out my arms. This is better than nothing since I can't do any exercise.
Renee got her stitches out today as well. She was also able to bend her knee and walk some. I am very excited for her to get back to running. She has amazing talent, and I can't wait to see her tear up the track!
I plan on spending this weekend preparing for my 2 tests and project next week...and watching our basketball team play and the Suprebowl! Go Packers!
