Fun on the Fourth!

My family goes to Kentucky Lake every 4th of July. My dad has been going for about 50 years (literally!). It is my only vacation this summer. A family from church started going with us about 6 years ago and they bring their boat, so we spend the day on the lake and then go to dinner at night. This year was a lot of fun, as usual! Since I wasn't able to run, I actually swam across the lake one afternoon (about 45 minutes) while my parents rode beside me on the jet ski...very slowly. Swimming in the lake is a lot different and harder than swimming laps in a pool, but it is also a lot of fun. I feel fully prepared to do a mini triathalon now! (although I may come in last).
