Voiceless

Fortunately, I am feeling much better, only now I have no voice. I have been hoarse before, but never just completely lost my voice. It is miserable. At church today, I was trying so hard to talk to people, but I could hardly get more than a whisper out. And I had to resort to mouthing the words to songs instead of singing because I felt silly just standing there. Hopefully my voice will return to me soon!

I think my grandfather is battling the cold I have. He woke up this morning with a sore throat. For him to catch anything isn't good, considering his physical state. Keep him in your prayers this week!

Running is going well. I love base training, and it helps that I have a girl on my team here to train with. We did our long run together Thursday and our fartlek together Saturday. My shin has been doing a lot better! Hopefully I can come back strong for indoor track!

I am loving being home, but I really do miss Starkville. I miss my team, my church, my routine, and my wonderful friend Renee. She has been such an encouragement to me, and continues to be even though we are far apart. She is one person I can count on if I need prayer or someone to talk to. God has really blessed me by putting her in my life!

Counting down the days until my birthday...which is Friday!!!
