Time in Prayer

I cooked Chicken with Italian Vegetables tonight. Sorry I have no picture to post. It turned out very well though. The chicken was seasoned with garlic powder and salt and pepper and cooked under the broiler. The vegetables were the best part: mushrooms, zucchini, tomatoes, onion, and garlic sauteed with a little bit of balsamic vinegar. It is definitely something I would make again.

I also just ate a bag of popcorn. I felt like my dad since he eats popcorn every day. I never realized that it was actually good for you if you get the kind without butter. It may turn into one of my new snacks :)

Last night, a few of the college girls in my church got together in the sanctuary to pray alone and together. It was such a sweet time with the Lord. It has been such a long time since I have just sat and prayed and prayed with a group of people. It is something I need to work on. God showed me a lot as I was kneeling in a pew toward the back reading and praying scripture. I think I have had Him in a box and made Him into the god I wanted Him to be and worshiped that god...which is idolatry. I need to see Him for the awesome, loving, indescribable, holy, sovereign God that He is through the way He is portrayed in His Word. That was just one thing that God showed me. There was much more, and I honestly could have stayed there longer and spent more time with Him talking and listening.

I made it through my long day of classes today. Only one class tomorrow and then a workout: 3X4X400 meters at 77-80 seconds. I'm kind of looking forward to the workout. I enjoy 400's, as long as they aren't super fast, which they never are for my distance training. It definitely won't be an easy workout, but I think it will be good to get my legs moving faster since I will be racing a 3K on Saturday.

Time for bed!
