Valendoom's Day

Ok, I'm not that cynical about today, I just like the name. I actually enjoy valentine's day, even though I don't have a boy to share it with. Lots of single gals get so sad about this day, which I completely understand, but to be honest, I am perfectly content being single right now. I especially like that I don't have to worry about what to do or get for a boy for valentine's day. I have had such a wonderful day, despite my singleness. I went into church early today to help with kids. I cannot tell you how much joy I received from being with these elementary kids. It was such a great way to start the day. Sunday school and service were great as always, then for lunch I went out with my valentine, Renee. She is a better valentine than any boy could ever be. My black bean burger at Mugshots hit the spot! However, I am still stuffed even after not eating for 5 hours and working out. I'm supposed to eat dinner at bible study at 7, but I'm not even hungry and it's 6:15!

As for running, I'm still pushing through. I'm putting in the training, just not seeing the results I want to. Honestly, I feel kinda burnt out. I hate to say that because I really do love running; it's just hard to keep putting in all this training and not see results. However, I know training for distance is not something that gives immediate results, so I am trying to be patient and keep training hard.

Hope everyone has enjoyed their valentine's day!

ah, happy valentine's day to you! one of our sweet family friends always sent me flowers on valentine's day through graduate school and after to make me feel special. trust me, you don't need a boy while in college...b/c they're boys. they need to get their boyhood out of their systems while in college! well, i guess they never totally lose their "boy" but they do eventually evolve into men. hehe!

Patience is key... with running and with relationships!

I, unfortunately, lack it!

but I'm trying....
I love Valentines Day! but this weekend would have gone a lot better if there was no such thing as Valentines Day. certain people show me love everyday... but for some reason i think I deserve EXTRA love today... and that gets me in hot water!

Glad you had a good day!
