SEC's and Regionals

I have again let too much time pass between updates. Sorry to those who still read my blog.
The SEC meet on November 1 went very well! I wasn't very happy with my time (23:09), but I wasn't focused on time...I was focused on racing. I raced as hard as I could. I was very proud of the team. We got 5th place! We were predicted to get 10th, so we were very excited with how we finished!
We had the Regional meet this past weekend in Birmingham. After SEC's, we were ranked 7th in the region, so we wanted to place 5th, 6th, or 7th at Regionals. I ran a faster than SEC's (22:53), but I wasn't very happy with my race. I felt bad from the time the gun went off, and I struggled through the whole race. Even though I wasn't happy with how I did, I am extremely proud of my team. We placed 5th! This is the highest we have placed in the region in a very long time! I am so excited to see how everyone continues to improve and how we do in track.
I am thankful to my parents, Nathan and Ashley, Matt and his Mrs. Delana, Aunt Cindy, and all my teammates for coming out and cheering me on Saturday. This race was the best because of all the fans we had out there. The cowbells and signs definitely helped me during my race!
One more week until I go home for Thanksgiving! I am super excited since I have not been home all semester. I cannot wait to see my grandfather! Unfortunately, I still have a lot to do before I go home for school. I just have to make it through one more week!
