The Thanksgiving holiday has been absolutely wonderful. I have really enjoyed being with family, resting, and of course the food. I have eaten way too much over the past few days, but I guess that is just a part of the holiday. No matter how much you try to convince yourself you won't stuff your face, it is inevitable in this family with the food we have. To make things worse, I have this entire week off of running. My legs are definitely enjoying the rest, but the rest of my body wants to run, especially since I have eaten so much. I am looking forward to starting back training on Monday.
I had my first black Friday shopping experience yesterday. I met Paul and Heather at 5 am and shopped until 9. I found a few good deals, but I unfortunately did not find some of the things I was looking for. Overall, it was a good experience. Target was a madhouse; the line wrapped around the entire store. But other places weren't too bad. I really enjoyed spending time with Paul and Heather, but I'm not sure if I will be doing black Friday shopping again.
Today is my grandfather's 91st birthday! He's still going strong. My favorite part about being home is getting to spend time with him.
I'm looking forward to the Egg Bowl tonight! I hope the Bulldogs wipe out the Black Bears. GO STATE!
