A Chance of Snow?

So apparently I should have eaten a little more for dinner than what was pictured on my plate last night. I was full after I ate, probably because I drank a lot of water with my dinner. When I went to bed, I was slightly hungry but just wanted to get to sleep. Unfortunately, I woke up at 2 am and could not get back to sleep because I was so hungry. I ate some crackers and drank some milk. Fortunately that took away the hunger, but then I had trouble getting back to sleep. Tonight I ate leftovers, but also ate some yogurt, and I may eat a small snack before going to bed.

The workout today went pretty well. I ran the first set of 600's on pace, but coach then changed the workout. So instead of doing another set of 600's, we did 8x400's, which was good since I don't think I could have done 5 more 600's on pace. I felt pretty good throughout the whole workout, but it was definitely hard since I haven't run that fast in quite some time. I did enjoy running with my team, though. I missed them so much over the break!

Classes are canceled for tomorrow! The south is so great! They are canceled due to potential of snow and ice. If we were in the north, I think this would only happen if the grounds were covered with ice, or if people were literally snowed in. Even though classes are canceled, I still have to run: 5 miles in the morning and afternoon. I have never run in snow or on ice though, so I'm not sure how that is going to play out.

It's so crazy! were you doing those reps on an outdoor track? Our options here (especially once graduated college) are to shovel lane one on an outdoor track, get into an indoor track and share it with everyone in New England (it's quite the circus, world class athletes and high schoolers at the same time!), go measure out a spot in a deserted parking lot that gets maintained well and pound away on the pavement, or do all treadmill intervals (blah, blah, BLAH!)

I can't imagine running year round with no snow! I'd probably get bored, but it certainly would make training less of a hassle
